Gabriel&Kellee - a goofy love story from America

How did you meet each other?

(Kellee)

Our mothers introduced us, they work together and they thought that we would be good friends. We actually met at the bar, we were 11 years old, so…yeah..it’s pretty funny 😄

And what was your first impression?

(Kellee)

Of course I thought he was cute

(Gabriel)

Yeah, we were just goofy, so we got along…

What qualities do you admire in your partner?

(Kellee)

I love his thoughtfulness, intelligence, his beautiful hair and blue eyes

(Gabriel)

Kellee is just very caring and motherly in a good way. She’s just very goofy and original.

(Kellee)

Do you remember how you were at the beginning of the relationship and how you changed in the meantime?

(Gabriel)

A lot, that’s because we’ve been together since we were kids. So now we are adults, there’s a bunch of stuff that’s different.

We are more quiet and reserved now.

How do you show love to each other?

(Kellee)

I definitely show my love by taking care of Gabriel, feeding and treating him good 😊

(Gabriel)

I’m not super good at showing my love, not like most people do

(Kellee)

We are just weird with each other. And he shows love in other ways…that’s mostly humor actually. I am physically more affectionate.

What challenges do you have in your relationship?

(Gabriel)

We both are very stubborn. If she has an idea of how to do something, it’s not gonna change at all. If Kellee says like “Make the bed!” then I’ll start making the bed and after she will come along and say “ you’re not making the bed right!”

(Kellee)

No, I will just come and fix it 😂

(Gabriel)

Then I’ll say, why did you ask me to make the bed if you not gonna like how I do it? 😂

So we’re very stubborn. I don’t really ask Kellee to do anything, because I just like to do it my way. We get very irritated with the way we do things. We are very particular about how we want to do something.

(Kellee)

I’m like a perfectionist, so I like my things done correctly))

(Gabriel)

So am I , but we have different definitions of perfection. 😁

What is perfection in your opinion?

(Gabriel)

If you’re trying to keep a house clean, there is no such thing as perfection. If your house is completely clean all the time, you’re not living.

(Kellee)

A nice clean home is a nice clean home 🌸

(Gabriel)

Her mom is cleaning the house all the time.

Like never stopping!

You’ll set down your phone or something…

(Kellee)

She will just come over and adjust it 😂

(Gabriel)

You go to grab something and it will be in a closet hiding or she moved it somewhere, that’s what I don’t like and that’s what Kellee does…

Just let stuff and relax 😄

I would say my perfectionism does get in the way, as well, it makes me irritated, because I need everything right.

How would you describe your perfect day as a couple?

(Kellee)

When we wake up I usually make food of course 😋

(Gabriel)

We get ready and we go Hiking

(Kellee)

Just exploring around nature and then visit friends or family

(Gabriel)

We go to a thrift store or antique store

(Kellee)

Yeah! That’s like a good day

(Gabriel)

We’ve got Pedro, our dog 😊

(Kellee)

And maybe we go out to eat in a restaurant for dinner or go home and I make the best meal ever 😁

What do you like to prepare at Home and what do you like to eat in a Restaurant?

(Kellee)

I would say chicken Alfredo and pasta at home

(Gabriel)

At the restaurant usually is a burger and fries, that’s very American 😄

(Kellee)

Or we go out for a breakfast at a Diner

(Gabriel)

That’s actually a good day

(Kellee)

Cause I don’t have to cook in the morning, then we go home and I cook Dinner, that’s usually the best day.

Getting breakfast at diner it’s so good, I love it so much 🥰

My typical breakfast is french toast, hash-browns, eggs and bacon. I really like pancakes too

Ooh actually my obsession lately has been corn beef mixed with hash browns, and then we share a pancake on the side 😊

How do you show respect to each other?

(Kellee)

In respecting the balance when we take care of one another, if I cook he is doing the cleaning.

We respect our space by being alone doing something, we are pretty good at that too.

Gabe likes to go make his music and I go bake 😊

What was the longest time you spent apart?

(Gabriel)

Not very long at all, like a week

(Kellee)

In recent years I’ve been in a work trip for like a weekend, which that was difficult. Not that much time spent alone, we definitely need to do that more.

Why do you think so?

(Kellee)

It helps you to reflect on the relationship alone in your mind and then you appreciate the time you spend together.

(Gabriel)

And it makes you realize what you miss. It puts into perspective what you like about them. Because if you spend every moment with each other, you just kind of forget about it. And then, when you step back, you go to bed and she’s not there, you think about… “oh I miss that” 🥺
